The Leopold Museum is one of Vienna's modern art museums. It was started by Doctor Rudolf Leopold in the 1950's, when he started collecting works from a then virtually unknown artist by the name of Egon Schiele.

After Schiele gained recognition, this gave Dr. Leopold the chance to expand his collection and setup a permanent exhibition of his work, and of other modern artists.

Today, three rooms of the museum are dedicated to Schiele. Works of his colleagues such as Gustav also feature prominently here. In total, the museum has over 5,000 exhibits in its collection.

The museum is located in Vienna's museum quarter in the center of the city, near other museums such as the Museum of Fine Art and the Natural History Museum.
