The Story of Prague is a permanent exhibition in the Prague Castle. It tells the story of the castle and the important figures linked to it since its creation over 1000 years ago.
The exhibition is set out in different eras, showing the construction of various parts of the castle, the burials that took place here and the role of the Czech King's who governed over this region.
There are over 500 original historical artifacts on display throughout the exhibition, including crowns, swords and jewelry from Czech Royalty. At the end there is a theater where you can sit down and watch a documentary about the development and state of the castle at various times over the last thousand years.
The exhibition has also taken children's interests into consideration with their kids program. At the beginning, children can choose to become one of the historical characters related to the castle and complete various missions while learning more about their character and his or her influence on the castle during its history.
It is a good idea to see The Story of Prague as one of your first sights, as it gives you an overview of the city and can put other attractions and landmarks into context when you see them later in your trip.
Entrance to the Story of Prague exhibition is included in the Long Prague Castle Tour, or can be purchased separately at the ticket office at the castle.
