The Czech Museum of Music showcases a range of musical instruments, some many hundreds of years old.

Inside is one long-term exhibition called "Man - Instrument - Music". The first part of the display focuses on popular music of the 1900s, and then moves onto the world of keyboard instruments and string instruments from some of the famous musicians from French and Italian schools. Many of the displays contain audio samples where it is possible to hear what each instrument sounds like.

There are then further sections on woodwind, brass and percussion instruments. Temporary exhibitions are also shown here, and change on a regular basis.

The museum is located in the 17th century Baroque Church of Santa Maria Magdalena in the Lesser Town. By prior arrangement, it is possible to book tours in English, German and French for groups up to 20 people.
