Arkady Pankrac is a modern shopping center and one of the newest additions to the Prague retail scene. The three level building was opened at the end of 2008 and is located in one of Prague's biggest districts, Pankrac, which is close to the inner city.
It is a large airy center, enhanced by the use of a large amount of glass. It covers approximately 45,000 square meters of floor space accommodating over 140 shops. Although very large, it is well designed and the floor plan is easy to navigate through.
The center offers a wide range of merchandise, including fashion, a large Interspar supermarket and grocery stores as well as restaurants and casual eateries.
A diverse range of retailers occupy the building including H&M, Peek & Cloppenburg,, New Yorker and Datart electrical shops. There are also several international companies represented here including Sportissimo, Puma, Nike, Esprit, Marc O'Polo to name a few.
Many services are also available including a children's creche that opened in February 2009.
A good transport system connects the center to motorways, buses and the metro, with a direct connection located in the basement. Parking is available for those who wish to take their cars, with over 1000 car parks.
It has already received an award from the Construction and Investment Journal which voted it the 'Best Shopping Center Development 2008'.
The interior décor is modern, clean and the overall ambience of the center makes the shopping experience a very pleasurable day out.
