Sendlinger Tor

Sendlinger Tor is one of the four medieval city gates to the old city of Munich. Originally built in 1318, it lies at the intersection of Lindwurmstrasse, Sonnenstrasse and Blumenstrasse, on the south side of the Altstadt (old city).

The Sendlinger Tor subway station is a hub station for the U1, U2, U3 and U6 lines. A number of trams also leave from here, including the Christmas Tram during advent. There is also a Christmas market setup here during this time.
