Much the same as the Hofbräuhaus, but with less tourists and Löwenbräu beer instead of Hofbräu.
When the beer cellar first opened its doors in June of 1883, it was even larger than it is today. During the war it was heavily bombed, and was rebuilt smaller than before. The Löwenbräu beer is still brewed nearby, just on the other side of the street.
Here you can get a traditional Bavarian meal along with a range of beers. In the summer, there is also a well visited beer garden here.
Located at the corner of Dachauerstrasse and Nymphenburgstrasse, the Löwenbräu keller can be reached most easily with the U1 line to Stiegelmaier Platz.
