Located in the heart of Dublin on O'Connell Street is Clery's Department Store. It was built in 1853 and is a historically listed building. It was the very first purpose built department store in Dublin.
This is the second Clery's store on this site as the original was destroyed during the Easter Rising of 1916. Over the years, the store has been tastefully modernized with major work taking place in 2004. This was accomplished in such a way as to retain as much as possible of the historical character of the site.
It is a popular store catering for all tastes and budgets. Products include fashion, homewares and electrical goods. There is also a great range of traditional Irish products including Belleek China, Waterford Crystal and fine Irish linens. The recent refurbishment included expanding the cosmetic department.
The store is open daily with late night shopping on Thursdays.
