The name of this attraction, Mozart's house, doesn't really describe the full extent of what is available to explore here. Mozart's house today is more like a museum to the man, set out on 4 floors and detailing every aspect of his life in Vienna.
Visitors can learn not only about how Mozart lived, and how it composed some of his greatest work, but also about Vienna itself during Mozart's lifetime.
The tour starts on the third floor, after purchasing a ticket in the foyer on the ground level. The third floor gives you an overview of Mozart's life in Vienna, including where he lived and the people that had an influence on his life.
The second floor is dedicated to the works of Mozart and his colleagues. This floor has been reconstructed in the same way as it might have been during this time, and explains his accomplishments using multimedia and visual aids.
On the first floor is Mozart's actual apartment, in which exhibits focus on his life in this building between 1784 and 1787.
Admission includes an audio guide that gives visitors a tour in a number of different languages including German, English, Italian, French, Polish, Russian, Hungarian and Czech.
