The Cerna Ruze is also known as the Black Rose shopping center. It is not a new building, having been constructed in the 1900s. Originally it consisted of two buildings, connected via an arcade and its façade dates back to the 1840s. In the 1990s it underwent extensive remodelling and modernization producing the well planned center that exists today.
The store contains a wide mix of merchandise, eateries and services. It is well stocked with many Czech and international brands including Mambo, Nova Fashions, Cardin and Adidas.
There are several good restaurants, as well as more casual places to eat, including the Pizzeria Bondy on the third floor and Café Cerna Ruze, Cafe Enzo and the Chinese Wang Dong Sheng restaurant on the second floor.
If you are looking for a special gift or something for the home, a visit to Donate, McGregor Home or Moser's Glass is a must. There are also electrical, delicatessen and grocery stores. Andrej Emanuel and Tailors offer a repair and alteration service for clothes and will make clothes to measure. A Laundromat is located on the first floor.
Your health and beauty needs can also be met at Madeleine's or Studio Dermacol and there is also a pharmacy and optical store.
The shopping center holds regular fashion shows and attracts visits from well known media personalities throughout the year.
Cerna Ruze is very centrally located near the center of Prague and can be conveniently reached on foot or using public transport from most places in the city.
