The Staatliche Antikensammlungen, or State Antique Collection was built in 1838, and houses antiques from the ancient world. It stands besides its sister museum, the Glyptothek, which deals with artefacts from the same period.
The museum is well known for its collection of antique pottery, much of it thousands of years old. Tours can be taken at 6pm on Wednesdays however these are only done in German.
Be aware, that like the Glyptothek, the museum is closed on Mondays.
