The Ammer tent is one of the oldest tents at the Oktoberfest, making its first appearance in 1885. It is famous for its roasted duck and chicken, which can also be bought on the street in front of the tent.
Inside there are only 450 seats, and the tent serves Augustiner beer from a wooden keg, as well as Wießbier.
The tent is open a little later than some of the other big ones, with the last drinks at 11pm and closing time at 11:30pm.
It is located directly opposite the Hofbräu Festzelt, almost in the middle of Wirtsbudenstrasse, and there is also a small beer garden holding almost 500 people surrounding the tent.
