Kultfabrik (formerly Kunstpark Ost) is located in an old industrial area and now claims to be the biggest party area in Europe.
In this area are over 50 clubs, bars, pubs and other venues all next to each other. As such, if you don't like the music in one club, you can simply pop over to another. The door policies of clubs are much more lax early on in the evening, with most clubs being free to get into at this time. After 11pm, the area really starts to fill up.
To compile a list of clubs here would be impossible because the list seems to change every week. Some of the most popular include:
- Die Bar
- New York Tabledance
- Sisi und Franz
- The Temple Bar
- The Titty Twister
Drink prices here are variable. Some places are more upmarket and demand higher prices, and in the same respect, some of the lowest prices in Munich.
Overall, this area is more casual or laid back that most clubs in the city. In the center of Munich, you might have trouble getting into some clubs because of dress code or other reasons. Here it is very likely to be rejected, and even if it does happen, there are simply so many other clubs to choose from, it really doesn't matter.
The Kultfabrik is located in the east of the city, near Ostbahnhof - a major railway hub in Munich. It can be easily reached by Bus, U-Bahn or S-Bahn from most parts of the city.
