The Allianz Arena was opened on the 30th of May, 2005 and has since hosted hundreds of matches both international and for the teams the stadium was built - Bayern Munich and TSV 1860.
The stadium's unique architecture makes it known the world over. The entire outside of the stadium illuminates in either red, blue or white depending on the team playing at the time. It holds almost 70,000 people in covered seating on 7 different levels.
It is possible to do a number of different tours of the stadium. For the standard tour, there is no need to pre-book, although tours will not run until there are 11 people. Tickets can be purchased in the Arena Gift Shop on level 3, and the tours take place at 10:15am, 11am, 1pm, 3pm and 4:30pm (winter)/5:30pm (summer). Only one of these tours however is in English, and this takes place at 1pm. Tours last approximately 75 minutes.
There is also a VIP tour, however this must be booked in advance and usually requires a group of 15 people.
The Allianz Arena is located in the north of the city, and is easily reached with the U6 to Fröttmanning.
Allianz Arena Reviews
Este estadio es digno de visitar aunque nosotros no hicimos la visita guiada. Me hubiera gustado poder acercarme a la zona del césped para contemplarlo pero aún asà recomiendo su visita si se tienen tres horas para ir y volver.
