Bram Stoker

The Bram Stoker Dracula Experience is located within the West Wood Club in Dublin. It is situated on Clontarf Road, only a short walk away from Clontarf DART station.

This attraction can be best described as a dungeon based on Bram Stoker's novel 'Dracula'. Within the Bram Stoker Dracula Experience you will be taken on a scary journey through the Count's life and you meet the characters of the Dracula story.

You are transported straight into the experience through the 'Time tunnel to Transylvania' after which you visit 'Castle Dracula' which provided the setting of the famous novel.

The inside of the attraction has been done up to resemble a scary dungeon with actors enacting the stories of the Count and his victims.

Understandably, Dublin is very proud of Bram Stoker and this attraction pays tribute to this great Irish author. Therefore "experience" puts a great emphasis on education and ensures that visitors learn more about Bram Stoker in a very entertaining way.

Bram Stoker was born in Dublin in 1847. Here he spent his mostly bed-ridden childhood and eventually studied mathematics at the well-known Trinity College. The novel 'Dracula' was published in 1897 and is one of the most influential pieces of literary fiction in the world. It has been adapted for theatre, film, television and even ballet as well as musicals.

There is no minimum age for children to enter the attraction but please ensure that children are supervised at all times; young children might get frightened in the dark chambers.

A few minutes' walk away from the West Wood Club you can also find Bram Stoker's childhood home at 15 Marino Crescent, also known as The Crescent. However, this house is a private residence so it can only be viewed from the outside.
