Silverwings is a rock club located on the grounds of Berlin's Tempelhof airport. After the Second World War, the club became an American Air Force Officers club, hence its name. Johnny Cash even played here.
Today, the club is one of Berlin's best in the rock/independent/punk scene. The line up constantly changes, and up to date information can be found on the clubs website (silverwings.de).
The regular "Eis am Stiel" nights are particularly popular, where the theme revolves around classic Motown hits from the 50s and 60s.
The club is spread out over two floors, with a bar in the middle surrounded by banks of comfortable seats. Drink prices here are reasonable, and around the Berlin average.
