Situated just off the Leidseplein, one of Amsterdam's liveliest nightlife hot-spots, the Sugar Factory is a bustling and innovative music venue catering for virtually every taste.
Throughout the week, this venue often transforms from a clubbing space playing dance music, to a chamber playing host to a classical recital. Everything from jazz and soul, through to rock and R&B is on offer, with each night of the week being dedicated to a different genre.
The Sugar Factory is not only limited to music, with poetry readings and even life art performances making a regular appearance on the venue's schedule.
With so much on offer, it is advisable to get a copy of their schedule from a tourist information office, or to look at their website (www.sugarfactory.nl) for the latest information.
Sugar Factory Reviews
Taking into account everything this club simply is not worth the money. Overzealous and rude bouncers reject people randomly like they own the place. We were "lucky" to get in we thought but after spending loads of money on drinks and waiting forever to get the party started we knew better. It took ages before we got our drinks. After a while we simply ordered two drinks per person at a time. Spend your money wisely. I am sure there are better places to go to in Amsterdam.
