Set in the heart of the Red Light District, the Erotic Museum provides an interesting and very different outing – but certainly not one suitable for the family.
The attraction, spread across five floors, attempts to give visitors an engaging experience covering the history of eroticism and the Red Light District. Exhibits range from the historically interesting, to the slightly more unsavory items – but all are strictly for an adult audience with a certain sense of humor.
Some of the displays on offer include a reconstruction of a Red Light District room – complete with a wax work prostitute – and a display of erotic art through throughout history, including a collection of more than 500 erotic books. There is also a complete floor dedicated to the risqué world of sadomasochism, with a variety of weird and wonderful items, in addition to several mannequins arranged in remarkable positions.
Another slightly less reserved feature, includes a looping movie entitled "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs", in a version you would certainly not want to show the children.
The Erotic Museum does make for an interesting visit, and can help to give you an informed insight into the workings of the Red Light District and the history of erotic art. However, this is certainly an exclusively adult only attraction.
