In Munich, there are literally hundreds of Hotels to choose from. Scattered throughout the city and the surrounds are all ranges of Hotels for every budget, including world renowned 5 star Hotels such as the Vier Jahrenszeiten Hotel in the center of the city, all the way down to simple and cheap backpackers such as the The Tent.
When booking a hotel, the location should be considered paramount. Ideally, a good hotel will be located within walking distance of a U-Bahn, S-Bahn or Tram station.
Central parts of Munich include Neuhausen, Schwabing, Maxvorstadt and Haidhausen, and most Hotels reside in this area.
During the annual Oktoberfest, it becomes incredibly difficult to get a hotel in Munich. It is advisable to book well in advance if travelling to Munich during this time, and expect to pay double the usual prices.
